Treehugger: Why Do the Dutch Like Bikes So Much?
It isn’t the climate; the weather can be pretty cold and rotten. Lots of North American cities and towns are flat and relatively dense, at least downtown. It’s not for lack of money- sales of expensive bikes are booming. The New York Times looks at the question and finds all kinds of answers: environmental concerns. Exercise. Fashion Statements. It helps that there are dedicated bike paths everywhere, secure lockers and parking, and acceptance by everyone, including all of the drivers of cars, that “Its a bike-loving country”

The three Colorado Case Company guitar case covers I ordered last month arrived. I think they will give the cases the extra protection I am looking for. They look and feel well made.

I received a couple of Iranian bootleg cassette covers in the mail the other day (Thanks!) and here is my favorite. A selection of songs from my “Opium” CD, here renamed “Water & Fire”. Note the red Telecaster on the cover – I have never liked those guitars :)

Certified Jeans
I have been looking for a pair of jeans that is made out of hemp or organic cotton and have looked and tried and bought a few I did not like. Well, at last I think I found a real winner. I am wearing a pair of the Certified Jeans right now, they are made from organic cotton and are incredibly comfortable. This morning I ordered another 4 jeans.
