I can’t wait to get home and download this album. Can’t do it here at work. As I was looking at the liner notes I picked up on something in the photo of Fritz’s ‘home’ or ‘bed’ and I have a question. Why on earth would the Pussycat Dolls have Fritz?! I’m not familiar with any of their music, but I know who they are and what their gimmick is. This kind of technology just doesn’t fit in with what little I know about them. What gives? Does anyone have any idea?

Rik: I don’t have an answer. We rented Fritz from a roadie and that’s the case he sent the dummy head in. Maybe he likes the Pussycat Dolls, maybe he used to work for them? I don’t know. I’m amazed the case arrived without a problem, because as you can see in the photo he described the content as: Human Head…

Little-known fact, human heads are being shipped around the country in far greater quantities these days than they used to. Just downloaded the album, very excited to give it a spin!

In one of the links on a long chain that began here I found a review of Innamorare. This particular review refers to a PBS program that I too remember from several years back. Can you give me any information about that show? Is it related at all to the Wide-eyed + Dreaming video/dvd? I would love to get my hands on it or at least my ears and eyes.

It’s like a personal OL/LN concert in your head. I made a playlist on my ipod so I could add Snakecharmer for an encore. Great album.

Just got my first iPod for my birthday Sunday and downloaded all my Ottmar CDs and my first official “download” from a website (Fritz Files).

I have a question on “UnderWorld”, at the very beginning I hear something that sounds almost like a match when you strike it (for lack of a better description) – I only hear it on this song – but not sure if it is part of the track or something going on with my iPod. Please don’t add this to discussion – but I just wanted to get your opinion on what could be wrong if anything on this track. Thank you, Jackie

Jackie: nope, nothing wrong! “UnderWorld” begins after striking a match next to your left ear and ends with blowing out the match next to your right ear… The match lights the fire that is the song and at the end we blow it out. Check out “Cocteau” – it starts with the sounds of playing volleyball w Japanese paper-balls…

Wow, I can’t tell you how startling this was at first -it was amazing! The sound of the match was so clear! I didn’t get to the end of the track…this would have explained a lot – LOL. I’m really looking forward to being able to listen to the entire album. Thank you for Fritz Files – truly a new & exciting dimension in listening to recorded music.
