A friend of mine is marrying a loser, she knows that I can’t stand him. I think that Crazy should be her wedding song. Anyway, when I told her she looked at me with pis..d off written across her forehead. Oh well crap happens. I like Gnarls Barkley, and I can relate to that Crazy song of his in more ways than one. I’ve been to that dark place, but found the light.
It’s my 29th birthday, and it’s good to be back in Taranaki. The sun is shining, mountain’s out with it’s cloak of snow, and my Koro (Great Grandfather) is pleased I’ve moved back. He’d been visiting me in my dreams and that’s when I knew something was wrong. My mother told me that my Koro, has cancer – doesn’t that bloody suck. He’s 92, humble to the max and this is what he gets. My family and I have sworn not to tell him, we just have to make him as comfortable as possible.
I thought about taking him to Upaya, but the journey would be too much.
At least my daughter and I have come home, we were meant to.
