Two photos from yesterday. There are many layers to the city. Streets above streets. Steep streets, long staircases, but also the river and large squares. In some directions you can walk much faster than cars can possibly go, because they have to thread the needle through lots of one way streets. Today I discovered a local easter egg, an elevator that takes people from the ground level street entrance of a house to the fourth level, which in turn is the ground level of the street running behind the house.
