The notion of “pure” flamenco is really just a snapshot in time. Too bad people make themselves miserable with ideas of what they think is pure and what isn’t.

“I am kind of a high-strung , scattered person, and am very unorganized. I get distracted by my computer, or phone calls, etc.” Still?

Dave: I am still somewhat scattered and unorganized and can get distracted, but now I know how to embrace that and live with it…. ;)

That can be an interesting struggle thinking “I could be so much more productive if only I had the discipline” vs. “Let my energies of the moment play.” I’ve always had a notion of an accomplished musician being ultra-disciplined… endless hours of concentrated practice, etc. It seems that some balance of both are necessary.

I have to give you respect on Samba Patti. You play this song better then anyone on this planet. Your version is amazing, Even though Carlos Santana is the original composer, you pefected this song.

I hope someday you will be playing this song in your concerts.

    Cheers,

    Manuel.
