When I finished an album I used to feel empty and wrung out. I would get frustrated by that and attempt to power through that feeling. Now I realize that it’s part of a natural cycle. Creating an album of music is like talking for a long time. Your throat dries out and you need to drink. In my case there is nothing that doesn’t improve after a long walk.

I was picked up at 07:25 for a morning TV show In Riga, Latvia. This little clip was recorded by the promoter rep for their Facebook page.
An opening slot for Cool Jazz/Fusion monarch Miles Davis proved the gateway to a wider audience looking for adventure in their music. Liebert’s fusion of Flamenco and World Music secured him an international fan base. The rest is his story.
A day or two after our performance in Manhattan in May, I walked over to the Open Mind studio at CUNY for an interview with Alexander Heffner for his Open Mind TV show.
