Farolito

This is a Farolito. It is a paper bag with sand and a candle. They may call it a Luminaria in other places, but in Santa Fe a Farolito (slang: bagolito) is a candle in a paperbag and a Luminaria is an open fire. I took this photo in Camden, Maine.

I just love these! Love the slang…bagolito! I had never heard of that. The snow adds the finishing touch!
