That was a fun show tonight. The hall sounded fantastic and everybody played wonderful. Instead of going into Davo’s percussion solo in Duende del Amor full spead, we built it up slowly – barely playing anything during the first few bars. Davo, Jon and I can do that well – hinting at the rhythm… the other day the end section of La Luna was super funky, yet really sparse… Anyway, I had a blast tonight. The guitar sounds great – I have returned to my 2002 DeVoe Negra for this tour. It has aged so beautifully. It handles the soft playing for the Pavane just as well as anything that’s hard and fast.
