Concerts

“One fan who goes to a concert is more profitable than ten thousand fans who stream.”

Am I Wrong About the Live Music Resurgence? – by Ted Gioia

Show me another business where the paradigm shifted as radically and completely as in Music – I can’t think of one.

When my first album was released in 1990 it was common to look at concerts as advertising for selling CDs. Many performers were willing to lose money touring and counted on sales of CDs, and other physical media, to more than make up for that loss.

Twenty years later the business had turned around completely. CDs became advertising for concerts and  musicians survived by touring.

Thank you to everyone who came to see us during the last couple of weeks, and all year. We will go into hibernation soon and will return in the beginning of 2025. In the meantime I will work on new musical ideas and on a new slideshow.

I have been with you since 1990, and have seen your concerts in Illinois, Texas, and California.

Looking forward to seeing you in 2025, at Yoshi’s.

I would love to see t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, hats, etc. at the show. =^ ]

I would love that, too. Alas, it’s very difficult when traveling in a couple of vans. We toured in buses for thirty years and I just don’t want to do that anymore. We will, however, most likely have CDs with us, probably the Andante compilation.
