French authorities have launched an investigation of EMI France and music retailer Fnac over anticopying technology included on CDs that allegedly renders them unplayable on some systems.

I would like to add that EMI never even asked their artists how they felt about using anticopying technology. In my case they added it without my consent and against my wishes to several of my albums – and I only found out many month later.

EMI owns Virgin, Virgin owns Higher Octave Music…
