When one strings a guitar in this manner there will be absolutely no slipping of the strings.

Very interesting – thanks! Just curious if the tuners on a flamenco are “geared down” like they are on most guitars, or are they just a straight friction fit? Seems like if they weren’t geared down they would be not only difficult to turn but also extremely sensitive to a small movement.

Like a violin or cello the traditional Flamenco guitar uses pegs, which rely on friction only. There are no hidden gears.
