My News blog started in April of 1996 and will turn 30 years old next year. I don’t think there are many blogs that have been running for 30 years! There are entries before April 1996 but that’s when I started using Radio Userland… correction, it looks like the Radio Userland blog started in 1994? You can see that here, part of our archives. Well then, happy 30+ birthday.

And before blogging existed I used to have a tiny mailing list on CompuServe, which was one of the first email providers. I would write emails like this one, from New Zealand in 1994, and send them to the few people who also had email…

PS: and in these 30+ years there has never been an advertising on this site. Every week I receive multiple requests to allow an ad-post or to allow a “guest post” that contains links to products… No, thanks.
