In the afternoon we arrived at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, a huge complex with several theaters. We unloaded and walked around looking for food. Once again we found a ramen place for lunch, our fourth ramen meal on this tour. I noticed that the staff spoke Mandarin, but all ramen fans know that while ramen is a Japanese dish it has its roots in Chinese noodle dishes. Everything is connected.
Feeling sated we went back to the theater and set up. Soundcheck was good. Something about the acoustics meant that I could hear all of the instruments more clearly and I looked forward to the concert. The performance was fun and the audience was into it.
