Friday Music

I found this while going through old CDs, photography backups, music, software…

The music is from 2004 and was recorded at the NPR studios in Washington, DC. Robby Rothschild plays cajon with Jon and me. This was the soundcheck for the actual show and the engineer, who was still dialing in the sound here, was kind enough to give it to me afterwards.

Duende Del Amor, first recorded for Solo Para Ti.

The 320kbps mp3 can be downloaded here, and the FLAC (16/44.1) is here.

And a short version of Carrousel, from La Semana.

I remember driving home and listening to this on NPR when it first aired. The interview wasn’t bad, either.

I especially love that lighthearted lilt of Carrousel.

Thank you for filling the empty space of sound with beauty.
