We are at the Wien Winery in Temecula today. This image was captured by my friend Joe Mozdzen during our performance at the Coach House in San Juan Capistrano last night.

One could talk about the less than average sound system at the Coach House, but no, let’s not dwell on that. We always enjoy performing there, because the audience is wonderful. Lot’s of shouts of “Timmy!!” last night. Maybe we can start a new custom.

You should have seen Stephen Duros after the concert – he was a happy man, unable to contain himself. Nice to see. And here is what Stevo had to say about the evening.

This image on Flickr has been viewed over 5,000 times. I guess Google serves it up every time someone wants to see an image of Vibram Five Fingers – fine with me.

That photo really captures the essence of a very happy contented man who knows his music is out of this world. I agree.

This is living completely in the moment!

as for the five fingers photo.. it was enough incentive for me that I actually tried them. They are the most conformable things I have ever put on my feet!

RE: your comments about the sound system. Can’t comments like that have a business effect on you? Remember, I’m an accountant. My other thought was “did the check clear?” But then again, I’m an accountant… (Don’t get me wrong, though, I realize as a musician you want great sound, not just for you but for the people who paid to see you!)

Max K: I think it’s hardly be news to the management of the Coach House – everybody knows, and their staff agrees. What makes the Coach House special is how close the audience is to the band. We have played there since sometime in the early nineties and it is one reason we return almost every year.

Oh yes, my introduction to the sound of Ottmar Liebert was the soundman’s choice at his soundcheck. What a soundcheck that echo’d in my mind for two weeks until I found out with a question, “What was that music you played during your soundcheck?” Oh yes, the venue was a green space under huge oak trees.
