Very gray and cold yesterday. In the evening I did some flashlight painting on 30 second exposures. Here is my hand drawing light-circles:
Here I am lighting a Buddha statue with the flashlight – it was otherwise nearly completely dark in the room. I can wave the flashlight freely, and as a result the light looks a little other-worldly because we don’t see a fixed light-source.
In the afternoon I started scanning old family history. I have boxes and boxes of stuff from my dad that needs to be scanned and archived. Here is a beautiful envelope with a red wax seal from the 1880’s:
