Internet providers plan to place monthly limits on user activity
Internet metering is a throwback to the days of dial-up service, but at a time when video and interactive games are becoming popular, the experiments could have huge implications for the future of the Web.

And why should providers support Netflix, Blockbuster and iTunes’ movie rental business, and the video game industry’s online gaming? I think the internet providers have learned from the music biz.

One way to solve this is for the online movie-rental and vid game industry to pay a road-tax to the ISPs. 18-wheelers have to stop, get weighed and pay road-tax in every state.
