Reading: The Rest is Noise

Last night I sat in the control room under the blueish LED MR-16 lights above the console that look like moonlight, and listened to the entire album on my Stax headphones while the wind blew hard outside. For the first time I did not hear anything that needed to be changed. I don’t know whether that was because the mix was perfect or whether the reason was that I was done with it and the process of creating the album was over. Because of this I was able to listen to the songs and enjoy them. I find the music cinematic and full of stories.

Packed my stuff until midnight. Went to bed at 12:30. Got up at 03:00 and left for Albuquerque at 04:00. Flight to Houston left at 06:15. Arrived in Memphis in the early afternoon.
