Watch that and be amazed. While this will make it even easier to produce starlets without an ounce of musical talents, it could also make musicians improvise even more fearlessly.

Weird. How long before a computer will be able to analyze the live performance of a musician or a whole band, compare it to the studio recording and correct any timing and pitch problems on the fly…

On the other hand, won’t it make us MISS the beauty of the stumble? I mean, I do miss that in pop-music, which is already so pitch and timing-corrected as to be terribly bland.

Amazing how you can change around a chord like that. I wish there were some kind of way to do that with a guitar….

Don’t get me wrong, though, there are some really cool things you can do there. As you said (or at least implied), it all comes down to being responsible in engineering music with this – like most technology, it can be used for good or evil. Hmmm….now I want to download one of these, I think….

I can’t explain why something that is so exact bothers me…..the perfectly lined up row of flowers, the painting that is a completely accurate representation, even the perfect face. Can you tell me why ?
