Paper airplane to be launched from International Space Station – Boing Boing
The Japanese team on the International Space Station will launch a paper airplane (co-designed with the Japan Origami Airplane Association) into the Earth’s atmosphere — the plane’s been treated with heat-resisting stuff and is expected to survive reentry:

How long will it fly? Might it startle an eagle (I saw a snowflake land on a butterfly)? Could some of those CIA spy-satellites be used to film the flight of the origami plane? I can see the movie… music by Brian Eno…

    Fun! The comments are worth reading too. Some of them made me shake my head at their pessimism and lack of vision, and some made me wonder at their scientific imaginations.
