Leonardo Da Vinci Masterpiece to Be Examined With Neutron Beams
Art diagnostician Maurizio Seracini has waited 30 years to get to the bottom of his biggest mystery yet: whether Leonardo da Vinci’s greatest lost fresco lies behind a wall in the Palazzo Vecchio here.

Seracini’s team of 30 will scan the palazzo’s 177-foot-long wall in mid-November, looking for the Battle of Anghiari, a work so magnificent it has been called the “school of the world.”

Excellent! I’m hoping this will come though. Thanks for the link, Ottmar!

Ottmar, on today’s Google home page the quote of the day was this….

“If you develop an ear for sounds that are musical it is like developing an ego. You begin to refuse sounds that are not musical and that way cut yourself off from a good deal of experience.”
    – John Cage

Throughout my long life of friendships with musicians I found, for the most part, the opposite to be true. In fact if one substitutes a few words in the quote it would describe most of those who held a PhD, I have known.

    What is your opinion?

I would of sent this through the “Email me” link on your flickr page, but I couldn’t get it to work.
