Pet food. Toothpaste. Thomas the Tank Engine and Polly Pockets. Even BatMan! Suddenly everyone is shocked, shocked to find that low prices come at the expense of quality.

Aren’t a few well-built toys better than lots of crappy, or even dangerous ones? How about clothing? Do we need lots of outfits or just a few well-made ones? How about everything else?
