I AM NOT A TERRORIST
After reading about blogger Raed Jarrar’s experience at JFK (he was forced to take off a shirt with Arabic writing on it or miss his flight), I finally stopped being depressed about the war on terror and began being proactively pissed off. I made this shirt, which says “I am not a terrorist” in Arabic. I plan to wear it every time I go to the airport from now on.
Thanks for the link, Adam.
That’s great! Too bad it doesn’t come in children’s sizes since my disabled minor son and I are on the TSA’s terrorist watch list, along with thousands of people who are also on it by mistake. We all had a good laugh about it at the airport when we found out, including the airline attendant. After many months and forms filled out, we are now on the “cleared” part of the watch list since one does not actually ever get off the watch list. Apparently we got on it because our names match those of other people they’re keeping an eye on. Beyond ridiculous.
Hi
Is this T-Shirt a part of SOLUTION or PROBLEM?
It is called freedom of speech. Yes, it is part of the solution. Because we should not be afraid of a different alphabet.
Indeed it is. Humor is a very powerful form of protest.
Color is very simple compared to an alphabet, yet we fear color even more.
How about a shirt with “Reunite Pangaea”…..
