BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Environmental ‘crisis’ in Lebanon
The United Nations Environment Programme (Unep) has expressed its “grave concern” about oil pollution in Lebanese coastal waters. An oil slick caused by Israeli bombing of the Jiyyeh power station now covers 80km (50 miles) of coast.

See THIS old entry.

How ironic the wording is that the bombing is causing “grave concerns.’ So many innocent people dying and weping over graes in the world needlessly because war trumps everything. How very stupid it all is.
