Moog dies at 71

Robert A. Moog, whose self-named synthesizers turned electric currents into sound and opened the musical wave that became electronica, has died. He was 71.

    I saw Bob Moog at the last NAMM in Anaheim and took a picture with my cell phone. I remember thinking how interesting it was that I just happened to stroll by the Moog booth and catch him signing autographs. I wish I would have walked up to him and at least shook his hand to say thank you, perhaps in another life.
