We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are.
Anais Nin (French born American Author of novels and short stories, 1903-1977)
I have often wondered why I have found certain books or met certain people at certain times… it was as if these books or people were sent to teach me… then I realized they had been there all along, but I only noticed them because I was ready and able to see them…
This has long been a favorite “famous quote” of mine. For me, it goes hand-in-hand with another favorite – “There is no truth. There is only perception.” Namaste.

Isn’t is remarkable how a few words assembled in just the right way can do so much if we just let them sink in? I’ll try to always remember those.
Thank you, Ottmar.
Exactly. I think this is a wonderful quote (years ago was introduced to her writings).
Although, I don’t know if to teach only myself, but to teach each other. No action being independent from each other.
When this happens I never cease to be surprised and so thankful.
