…between making music and being a Zen Buddhist? Just the scope really – the musician wants to be one with the music and the Buddhist wants to be one with the universe. Same thing – just bigger.

    Think of how a conductor works with an opera on a piece to make all the sounds of the different instruments become one, the late Celibidache for example. Wish I’d hear more when listening to that kind of music.
