I must have received hundreds of emails in the past month that contained the title to this post. There is no doubt that housewives are cool, but what’s the special appeal of dating housewives? I mean, there must be something special about dating or viewing housewives that appeals to the American male, because that’s the hook that’s being cast about right now. Is it the fact that the word housewife suggests that she belongs to another man, another family, another house? Is it that a housewife is considered more normal than say, dating an un-attached sex-addict? So, in conclusion is the industry changing with the times and changing their lure from, let’s say stripper to housewife, in order to fit into a society that has appeared to take a turn towards the more puritanical?

On the housewife thing, funny that you receive these e-mails too. I am not a psychologist but I think it is all the way around. While strippers are considered a done deal, easy, and already obvious, housewives are perceived as puritans and that is the catch for these perverts! The lure of seducing and converting supposedly pure women (until now untouchable by other men) to a more mundane figure (the conversion to sin) is the exciting fact. Thus the reasoning for this trend . . .I guess . . . well, very sad but in this world there is a lot of crazy things . . . and as Seinfeld would say: Not that there is anything wrong with it . . .funny. . .
Maybe the housewife is such a rare find that she’s now becoming “exotic”? No, actually I think this might represent a turn towards the more kinky than a turn towards puritanical. I mean, the housewife is still in many ways considered an ideal in this country. Think about our love affair with the 1950’s – “the golden age of the American family”. So maybe the idea of dating a housewife is actually more “naughty” than the stripper.
On the other hand I do see your point about the turn towards puritanical. I mean, the dilemma for some is that the “sex genie” is out of the bottle and yet there seems to be a strong tide towards traditional Christian morals. So maybe this is a re-direction of desire towards the American ideal woman.
A lot of these email are coming from other parts of the world where housewifes are looked on differently than how we see them in the USA.
So for the person that finds this appealing apparently weight, height, and bra size are the only “vitals” needed to choose. Maybe they should include some other useful information – like what kind of gun does the husband own for example.

LOL . . .Great point Victor! But realistic, I don’t think that at this point in time neither Jessica, Laura, Tabatha, or Sandra are really impressed by their husbands’ guns anymore. . . ;)))
