Reading:

1. Wabi-Sabi for Artists, Designers, Poets & Philosophers – Leonard Koren (ISBN 1-880656-12-4)
Here are a few words from the above book which I wrote down in my laptop to keep reflecting about them:
How do you pay attention to all the necessary details without becoming fussy? How do you achieve simplicity without inviting boredom? Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry! Keep things clean and unencumbered, but don’t sterilize. Things wabi-sabi are emotionally warm, never cold…..

2. The Nautical Chart – Arturo Perez-Reverte
This is his latest novel. I have read all of the books by Perez-Reverte and would only wish to be able to read them in Spanish!

3. Mutations (ISBN 84-95273-51-9)
This book is mainly about THE CITY and includes the very interesting Rem Koolhas Harvard Project on the City.

Listening:
Canton Becker – free downloads at www.mp3.com – search for “canton”
Ronu Majumdar – Hollow Bamboo – a great flute player from India!
Arabian Travels – a very nice compilation by Six Degrees Records from San Francisco
