Spent several hours trying to connect an audio interface to my computer. At last I discovered that UBS-C ≠ USB-C, or rather that USB-C ≠ Thunderbolt 3. The only visual difference is the lightning logo of a Thunderbolt cable. All I had were a couple of “regular” USB-C cables and they didn’t work. In a few hours I will have a Thunderbolt cable and then the interface should work.
I am actually smiling because updating a system from 2003 (hardware) and 2006 (software) to one from 2021 has actually been relatively painless so far.
PS: I plugged the Thunderbolt USB-C cable into interface and computer and everything was well.
