Came upon a Fado session in a tavern the other evening, while passing by, and stopped to listen. Looked impromptu. Was told later that some neighborhoods have these get togethers where people get up and sing the old songs. It was excellent.

This reminds me of how I walked through Cordoba once, alone, through not so central streets, and passed a school where they taught Flamenco dancing. The door was open so I could watch from the outside the training session (5-6 dancers) which was going on. I sat down at the door and wtached for an hour or so, and was very impressed.
Those are the best moments, aren’t they! Whether chance or fate they feel glorious.
I also think one has to open oneself up to those moments. To catch a wave one first has to be in the water.

Breathtaking!
