Watch a higher quality preview of the movie on this web site. The director is Doris Dörrie. The first movie I saw of hers was Männer, which came out in 1985 and is a hilarious look at German men! I watched Dörrie’s 2002 movie Enlightenment Guaranteed at Upaya, as it is one of Joan Halifax Roshi‘s favorite films.

I love Doris Dorrie. I heard she was working on this and definitely plan to catch it in the theatre. I learned my lesson. I’ve been trying for years to find a video store that has Enlightment Guaranteed. Without success. What did you think? Would you recommend it? Should I keep trying to find it?

Ruth: I enjoyed it a lot. The video rental store in Santa Fe carries it, I believe. Netflix does not have it. Amazon sells the DVD used and new ($11-27)
