vision 2020 (lockdown version)

I started working on music for this album sometime in 2019. Then the Rona came and heavily influenced the process, which became more solitary. The resulting music is upbeat, but I also detect a melancholy edge to the melodies. Can music be happy and sad at the same time? I think so. In many ways 2020 has been a rough year for all of us, but I also saw beauty in the inward movement. This album carries all of that.

vision 2020 (Lockdown Version) was recorded in collaboration with Jon Gagan without meeting in person. We exchanged files via Dropbox. For the album vision 2020 (Full Version) we will record additional musicians. The Full Version will be released in January and later in 2021 there will be a CD that will combine the best of the Lockdown and Full versions.
