Chu Moy designed a very popular headphone amplifier that's easy to build, and it can be built small enough to fit in a pocket, power supply and all. It's powerful enough to drive very inefficient headphones to thunderous volumes from even weak sources, and it sounds excellent considering that you can build a bare-bones CMoy amp for just US$20, and a pretty nice amp for under $50. DIY and save.

Second Leg of the Tour No big changes necessary as I feel that the chemistry between the four of us is the main attraction of the band. A solid groove is a great foundation!I will get the Guitar Rig software next week and hope to find some new sounds for the electric guitar. I will also experiment with using some of Guitar Rig's reverb and delay settings for my Flamenco guitar. Robby also plays the Kora, a West-African harp, and I would like to try to incorporate that into our show. Maybe an intro for one of the songs or an interlude.

New York Times: "Ultimately, it's not the carbohydrates — or the next unsuspecting food group that will come under attack — that will make us overweight. It's our relationship with food and our lifestyle. In other words, how we eat is just as important — if not more so — than what we eat." [via Kottke] [vedana.net] I try to eat depending on my location and the work I am doing. Physical labor means more carbs, sitting in the studio all day means more fruit and vegetables. Winter on the East Coast means meat stew, summer in Hawaii means fruit.
