Early this morning, stepping out of the house to take my morning walk, I looked across the street at the neighbor’s cactus. It’s a beauty and must be about 15-18′ tall. It reminds me of the ones that grew in my house, limited to a height of 10′ by the ceiling.
The blossoms of my neighbor’s cactus are amazing. By the time I returned from my walk they had already closed up for the day.
Gorgeous! What a comforting reminder from your previous cacti…they are with You!
…and this time “they” have unlimited ceiling to grow as tall as they choose…lovely!
Blossoms are spectacular on any plant/tree. Just a delight.
(Just finished trimming one of my blossom trees – this past spring was the best yet – huge snowball blossoms. Another tree is over 50ft – it is something to see in the spring)
and this other tree – omg – it goes through 3 transformations (4 if you include fall) each year.
3 in 1.
Over 50ft tall – can thank neighbors for that !!-Nerve of new neighbors.
(trimming changes growth patterns – been gardening for 30 year )

Sorry .. .It’s your diary, not mine.
Happy to just read.
well …gonna share this -re my garden.
Right now my peonies and delphiniums are about to bloom . It’s non stop from spring to fall with blooms …and it keeps getting better each year.
re design – ….constantly moving things around. I work with all kinds of materials …(too the annoyance or jealousy of some neighbours !)
I like everything …trees, …leaf shape, size colour, texture ……rocks./stones..pots …glass., iron etc. It’s my canvass
My challenge is the sandy soil…makes it a hard winter.
Forgive me. I still miss you in your beautiful Santa Fe house. XO
