Thanks, Ottmar, for recognizing the anniversary of the first Moon step. It means a lot to me. I met Neil Armstrong at NASA HQ when he was on the NASA Advisory Council. What a dear man.
NASA renamed the Dryden Flight Research Center in Southern California the Armstrong Flight Research Center. Good on them. I spent many fun hours at Dryden preparing for Shuttle landings.
Ottmar, I appreciate the info in your post, ”The Moon + The Guitar”. What an awesome title for an album too, right? And, interesting synchronicity between the New Moon and anniversary of the 1969 Moon Walk. I believe President Reagan had an appreciation for astrological forecasts. And, I wonder how many scientists utilize some aspect of it in their work. I read a marvelous book ~10+ years ago. Its title is, “The Self-Aware Universe” by Amit Goswami, a quantum physicist who lives in Oregon. I believe you’d find it most interesting! Friends have shared it seems harder to get moving on projects since Covid. I’ve noticed this too, but there have also been days where I’ve been surprised at how much I could accomplish. I googled, “Lunar Phases” and it looks like the New Moon ends on July 27th at 5:32 a.m. Well, I for one, plan to “work it” and see if I can sense an acetylcholine lift. :-) I’m often on a 5-hour online meditation with a few friends on Thursday evenings. And, last Friday I noticed a distinct boost of energy that lasted all day. I’m not sure why it was so pronounced in comparison to other weeks, but it was powerful. This morning I was online for the 4th of a 10-week course on anti-racism. As someone who identifies as mixed race (Dakota/Swedish), I’m finding this class a blessing. And, intense! So on that note, I’m having another cup of coffee so I can maximize on this New Moon phase. Ah…such interesting and challenging times. . . .

And, to clarify, it wasn’t my intention to imply I’m aware of any scientists who apply astrology in their work, but rather wondering “if”. :-) Also, I found my copy of “The Self-Aware Universe” by Amit Goswami, Ph.D. Per my notes, it looks like I read it in 2007, but was first published in 1993. I believe you’d find it an enlightening and fascinating read. From the back cover, “In this stimulating and timely book, Amit Goswami, Ph.D., shatters the widely popular belief by Western science that matter is the primary “stuff” of creation, and proposes instead that consciousness is the true foundation of all we know and perceive.” [Also, from an excerpt, p.71, “This is much like the logic of the idealist philosopher Nagarjuna in the first century A.D., the most astute logician of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition.
