Here is the second verse breakdown of the song, the ending of which you heard yesterday:

Isn’t the bass wonderful!

I have to agree with them:

Don’t be an ass: credit the artist.
homeofthevain:

If you’re posting someone else’s work, credit them. Don’t deliberately remove the name of the artist. That’s just wrong. If your reasoning is that it’s own personal scrapbook — then keep it personal, not public. If it’s public, the least you can do is credit the artist and link back to their site, or at least their Wikipedia entry.

When I see something I like not credited — I try to track down the source, if for no other reason than to find more art by the same person. Consider this a small payback to the artist whose art you liked enough to post on your Tumblr. Use Tineye to track down original visual art — it’s easy to use, and takes no more than 10 seconds to do a search.

And that was your PSA for today. In the next episode: public shaming.

Fix a burned in screen
This can easily be prevented by using screen savers or by automatically putting the display to sleep (which also saves some power), but what do you do if your screen is burned in already?

The solution is surprisingly simple, all you need is a completely white picture that you leave on screen for as long as the image was burned in. Say you left your computer on overnight and came back to find that iTunes has been burned into your screen. To fix it, just put a white image on the next night and by the time you wake up in the morning it should all be gone!

This camera doesn’t take photos in the usual sense…

BUTTONS: Between Blinks & Buttons
Buttons takes on this notion of the camera as a networked object. It is a camera that will capture a moment at the press of a button. However, unlike a conventional analog or digital camera, this one doesn’t have any optical parts. It allows you to capture your moment but in doing so, it effectively seperates it from the subject. Instead, as you will memorize the moment, the camera memorizes only the time and starts to continuously search on the net for other photos that have been taken in the very same moment.

Essentially, it is a camera that – using a mobile communication device – takes other’s photos. Photos that were created by someone who pressed a button somewhere at the same time as its own button was pressed. Even more so, it reduces the cameras to their networked buttons in order to create a link between two individuals.

Ice traps methan and other gases. If the ice melts, the gasses are released. Logical. Boy, are we in for interesting times.

Methane Melt: The Most Important Story You Don’t Follow
We’ve written before about the danger that climate change will lead to the thawing and release of methane frozen on the ocean floor, and indeed the worrisome news that some scientists were observing patches of Arctic sea foaming with gas bubbles from “methane chimneys” rising from the sea floor.

Now, researchers in Alaska have found a similar process underway:

Natalia Shakhova, a scientist at the university and a leader of the study, said it was too soon to say whether the findings suggest that a dangerous release of methane looms. In a telephone news conference, she said researchers were only beginning to track the movement of this methane into the atmosphere as the undersea permafrost that traps it degrades.

But climate experts familiar with the new research reported in Friday’s issue of the journal Science that even though it does not suggest imminent climate catastrophe, it is important because of methane’s role as a greenhouse gas. Although carbon dioxide is far more abundant and persistent in the atmosphere, ton for ton atmospheric methane traps at least 25 times as much heat.

Until recently, undersea permafrost has been little studied, but work so far shows it is already sending surprising amounts of methane into the atmosphere, Dr. Shakhova and other researchers are finding.

Iceberg!

Peeking through the melting snow:

Somebody is breaking of branches from Lilac bushes and now this little cherry tree, too. I could not find any tracks and am wondering whether it is a bird that does this. Must have quite the strong beak.

Snow melting everywhere:

It’s rabbits and deer who do that nibbling on trees here. My sister has had real trouble with rabbits chewing the vegetable based coating on wires under her car and causing a lot of damage. I just hope they’ll stay away from my wisteria. it’s still young and skinny. Thay could destroy a long long vine with one chomp.

Love the way you mixed the new song and yes the bass is wonderful the way Jon plays it. I wanted to ask whats your opinion on the sound differences between the Negra and Blanca guitars and do you prefer the cedar tops or spruce. It seems that the Blaca guitars have a brighter sound but is it just in who’s hands are playing? I recently saw a picture of Vicente Amigo playing a blanca with Cedar DeVoe. Hope you don’t mind all the guitar questions, thanks in advance.

I like Bella’s eyes, Shane my shepherd/collie was black with brown eye markings like Bella, and yes Panj, the evidence of underbrush or something is on her coat. :-)
