Joseph Campbell Quotes
I don’t believe people are looking for the meaning of life as much as they are looking for the experience of being alive.

So true. The numbness, like Novocaine for suppressing feelings inside. Tap on someone’s face and nothing moves, no matter how bright you are :) The beginnings of calcification? I think that is the reason why so many people are moved by music…to release the emotions inside. During your performances this year, several times, I could feel that in the audience (especially in Tucson).

A while back, I was introduced to a book that you wrote about by Zen teacher, Kosho Uchiyama and in he writes,

    出会う所わが生命
“Everything I encounter is my life.”

Everything/one touches each other in some way or another. Maybe the catch is that you have to allow yourself the vulnerability to let the feelings out in the first place? Take a chance on feeling alive, just like when you are feeling music in an audience.
Everything you encounter (in that second) is unique to this life. I really love that book.
