    I loved this line:

“Wrapping your heels in padding so they don’t hurt is like stuffing a gag in someone’s mouth so they’ll stop screaming—you’re basically telling your heels to shut up”.

Regarding the rolling technique when walking… I noticed on your “wide-eyed + dreaming” DVD during the end credits where you walk over to take flowers from the audience member that you were walking this way. I find this to be a very natural way to walk but then again I don’t wear shoes all that much and my feet and knees do become quite sore when I have to spend the day in shoes.

    Interesting read Ottmar. Thank you.

By the way, you posted a link a while back to a site for what I can only call “foot gloves”. Could you post that link again please?

Ottmar, I hope you don’t mind, but I added your name to the Wikipedia-Barefoot page, under “Artists renowned for performing barefoot”.
I used to stare at the rising sun every morning barefoot, until giant bulldozers destroyed my private viewing location.
