Bad Timing
Bad timing. Was asked to play a song at Ruben Romero‘s internment today. Bought a new vegetable peeler on Sunday and tried it out in the evening… Verdict: very sharp. Hoping that the combo of New Skin and Krazyglue, aided by a couple of Advils will let me play anyway.

A couple of hours later: the finger looks a little worse now but I made it through “Silence: No More Longing”, which seemed the fitting choice for the chapel.

RIP Ruben.

Ooh Boy! It hurts even looking at it….Sorry about that. Would you consider using a finger “pick” when something like that occurs.

Ouch! Vegetable peelers are so awkward. It takes forever to peel potatoes.

I hope you are able to make it to the internment. Good luck!

Ah! I got shudders looking at that one, too. Good thing you managed to make it through the piece, at least.

You still gave. I am sure the music was a great comfort to his family.

Sorry to hear about your finger, but I’m still in shock about Ruben. I just talked with him the last time I was in town. I’ve been watching him play and buying cd’s from him for 17 years. I remember when he had that little cart and the little boom box. He’ll be sorely missed. Again, good luck with your finger.
