I am reading several books at the moment, among them A General Theory of Love, a book by three psychiatrists that is surprisingly poetic and which I am enjoying a great deal. It dovetails nicely with the book by Robert Wright I mentioned recently. I am also reading The Reality Bubble, by Ziya Tong, but I have to read that one in small doses, because there is only so much reality I can process each day. Learning about mites mating on our faces takes a while to absorb. It’s the same with Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States. I feel that it’s important to learn about our bloody past, but, again, there is only so much I can read without turning into a puddle of tears. So I take small bites and give myself time to process.

Blueberry traces in a white bowl:PS: also started reading The Art of Solitude, by Stephen Batchelor, a book of new essays. You might say I am enjoying a variety of small plates, instead of eating one big dish.

Love the shade of blue in “ice retreating,” and notes on your current reads. I’m also reading several books at the moment. Besides “Process, The Writing Lives of Great Authors,” I’m working my way slowly through “Possum Living, How To Live Well Without A Job And With (Almost) No Money” by Dolly Freed. It’s touted as inspiring one to embrace a more simple life, which for me is an ongoing work-in-progress. I’m also reading “Deep Creek, Finding Hope In The High Country” by Pam Houston. Every page of this beautiful book speaks to my heart. And, of the immense beauty and healing properties of our sacred earth, sky and animal friends. I also recently saw the documentary, “The Times of Bill Cunningham”. And, found it incredibly inspiring on multiple levels. . . .

Blueberry juice is making a face! Haha,ha.

As for me, I’m starting back at the works of Homer and will forge through most of the classics up to modern day. Plus, I am being horrified at RUSSIAN ROULETTE by Isikoff and Corn.

I hope there are green shoots of grass pushing through the retreating ice.
